Patricia Harding - Brazilian Oncidiums

      
     Patricia Harding will be speaking on the Oncidiinae of Brazil. She will show us their habitats and examples of the plants as they are found in nature. Even though the species can seem very similar, Patricia will show us the patterns that can be used to identify them. The last half of the program she will talk about the recent re-classification of the species. She tries to keep this humorous and not overwhelm with the science of taxonomy.

     Patricia is retired from the workforce and now does orchids, as a writer, traveler, photographer and observer, with a little orchid growing on the side. When she’s not traveling, she lives in Oregon.

     She will have copies of her book --Orchids of Brazil, Vol.I Oncidiinae for sale for $45, on a preorder basis. She would like to point out that if you order them online they will cost $43.25, though this is going up soon to $53.25.
