| This month we have the
"Lancer P. Smith Memorial BBQ, Potluck and
Auction" which will be held at the Van Galdar
Estate, Lafayette Ca.
We feature a Hawaiian Castaway
theme for this year's BBQ! Featuring fresh
and steaming roast suckling pig or a choice of
chicken grilled to perfection. Yes! For the
first time the main course will be CATERED!
Dues currently paid gives you entrance
for the Dinner. If you wish to bring a guest
who is not a member we'll make him/her a member
for the usual $15 application fee, or charge them
$20 for the meal, hmm what a choice!
The only other requirement is is
donation of ONE ORCHID PLANT per person for the
auction. If you don't have a plant to
donate, use your imagination and donate some item
akin to orchids: pots, scissors, jewelry, art
etc. Our Astute Auctioneer Dennis
Olivas will auction off all the items for the
benefit of DVOS. Fordyce Orchids, The Paph
House and D&D Orchids have donated orchids
also.

Time
The reason the
award pictures are from June not July is that I managed
to delete all the pictures from my camera while
preparing for our vacation. Unfortunately, I
take pictures of the ribbons so I know who the
winners are, so not only are there no pictures but
I can't even say who the winners are.
If anyone knows any of the
winners for last month PLEASE let me know. |
