Annual B-B-Q and Orchid Auction
Saturday, September 9th at Noon
The B-B-Q will feature a selection of CHICKEN or STEAK, which will be paid for by DVOS for current members. If you wish to bring a guest who is not a current member, the cost for that person will be $20. (The bargain of the day is to sign that person up as a new member...only $15... which will not only admit them to the B-B-Q but also give them membership to the best Orchid Society in the San Francisco Bay Area: DVOS!) A 1989 Plymouth Voyager mini-van was donated to DVOS on August 3, 2000. It has a 4-cylinder, turbo-assisted engine with automatic transmission, power brakes and windows. It has 130,000+ miles on it. It has a radio (does not work), heater, air conditioning and seating for seven people including the driver. Its color is charcoal gray.
I will have the car available for viewing at the next Society meeting, August 10, 2000, along with copies of the AAA checkup list. All those interested in viewing the van after Thursday can do so by coming to my house at 1915 Stratton Circle, Walnut Creek. The van will be parked in the driveway. I will bring the van to the DVOS picnic for the auction. Any inquiries can be made by phone to Dan Chiapponne at (925) 943-2022.
