INDOOR/OUTDOOR GROUP: Meeting April 8th  at 1pm at Fordyce Orchids

Well we finally nailed it down. Frank Fordyce has given us a date for the hands-on hybridizing class he will conduct. It will take place on April 8th, at 1 pm, at Fordyce Orchids (Orchid Ranch) in Livermore. We have approximately 20 people signed up to attend. If you weren't at the previous meetings and would like to attend, please call me in the evenings at (925) 943-2022. I need to provide Frank with an approximate number of attendees so he can make room for us.   Click here for details.

What is this class? It's a class to show you how to pollinate your orchids. And YOU will do the pollinating (under Frank's guidance of course). Bring your own orchids that are in bloom. You have to have more than one fresh flower on the orchid or two orchids with one or more flowers each. You do the pollinating. Don't have anything in bloom? No problem. Frank will have blooming orchids for sale at club member prices. Frank will also show us when to harvest the seed pod and store it. Places to send it and how to wrap and mail it. All us new guys and gala will want to attend this one.
