Membership is $30 a year and $10 for out of state members. Add $10 if you wish to get the newsletter by mail. You can join at any of our meetings or fill in a membership form and mail it to the address in the form.

DVOS Meetings The Diablo View Orchid Society will meet the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Contra Costa Water District Building Board Room located at 1331Concord Ave., Concord CA We welcome new members and guests! At each meeting we hold an orchid "show and tell", all people bringing orchids are entered into a raffle draw for the plant table for that month. In addition, awards are presented in various categories, with the overall winner at the end of the year receiving a trophy! Our awards are judged to a strict standard as outlined in the "Handout for Orchid Judging". |

In addition to our talks, slide shows and culture sessions, there are other benefits to coming to our meetings. We may have plants for sale as shown in the upper left picture, a raffle table, typically provided by the speaker, this month it was a table of Disas. And finally I think we probably have the best food of all the societies in the area!
Our library has over 100 orchid related books, Videos and CDs available to our members.
We host our own show once a year and play an active part in the other local shows. Here are reports from the SFOS shows for 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007a, 2007b, 2007c and the DVOS show for 2003 and 2004.
